Thirteen Stars was designed, pieced, and quilted with all original designs by Womancave Design.

This was the first quilt entered in any show, after only 53 years of quilting.

It will proudly be part of the quilt show in Daytona Beach, Florida in 2026.

The quilt commemorates the Semiquincentennial of the United States of America. The stars are five-pointed as the ones on the US flag which were modernized a little. There are 13 stars to remember the original 13 Colonies. The stripes are also obviously borrowed from the flag. All of this was placed in a modified traditional medallion setting.

The fabric is from Northcott's Stonehenge collection, designed by Linda Ludovico.

The longarm design is a shadow of the pieced stars, gently caressing the quilt and literally holding it together as we hope the US residents can continue to do for each other.
