When this was being created, as each petal was being drawn, I couldn't decide if it should be pieced as a collage or paper-pieced. When it was fully drawn, I realized it can be your choice of either. So I included a tracing image for fabric collage and instructions to turn it into a paper-piecing design.
That's not where your options end. Fabric choices are many. Each petal is part of a section that goes from the center to the edge in 2 or 3 fabrics. This allows you the option to take each leaf section and replace it with one piece of fabric in your collage. You can create the flower in as little as 6 fabrics or as many a 80.
Your fabricc colors give you even more choices. Use your school colors, your favorite colors, colors found in nature's flowers, colors not found in nature's flowers, or colors to match the room where it will hang.
It will finish at 40" x 40".
If you've not made a collage quilt before, we suggest purchasing The Practice Cats design and using online tutorials to figure out which method you would like to use before creating this bigger design. There are no instructions for how to make a collage project included.
This is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD. You will not receive a physical pattern. You can print the collage layout on your home printer.
